Description

Figurine, faience, Egyptian late period, top part (head and shoulders) of a blue faience Isis amulet with suspension hole at back. The entire surface is worn, so that the facial features are obliterated. Attached to the piece is an original tag (c. 1916). Obverse: Po 8 Stone from Philae (crossed out, black ink). Then in mirror image in modern blue ink  God Isis . Reverse (in faint pencil):  Found in a tomb near Awsan. Isis Hathor mother of Horus and wife of Osiris God of the underworld.
