Coffin Fragment, Wood with gesso and pigment, Egyptian 19-21 Dynasty. Wooden hand from an anthropoid coffin, typical of the ramesside period with yellow pigment and arms crossed over the chest. Here the hand is shown to be attached separately by means of dowels.
